Jazz à Juan opens its 65th edition on Thursday, July 9 in the Pinède Gould, with José James and China Moses sharing the opening bill alongside Tom Jones, who returns to Juan-les-Pins for a third time.
Running until Sunday, July 19, this year's programme leans further into genres beyond straight jazz than in recent editions, with Morcheeba, Goran Bregović and funk act Fearless Flyers booked alongside jazz names such as Marcus Miller, who headlines a tribute to Miles Davis on Friday, July 17 to mark the centenary of Davis's birth, and rising vocalist Samara Joy, winner of six Grammy Awards.
Seal appears on Monday, July 13, a date organisers have flagged as one of the festival's highlights. Bastille Day on July 14 brings an invitation only concert hosted by the town of Antibes Juan-les-Pins, featuring the Banksia Trio, Laura Anglade and Maë Defays, followed by fireworks over the bay.
The festival, founded in 1960 as a tribute to Sidney Bechet, closes on July 19 with its traditional gospel evening, led this year by Linda Lee Hopkins. Tickets remain available through the festival's official site and the Antibes and Juan-les-Pins tourist offices.
