Three suspects have been placed in pretrial detention over the theft of a €120,000 Patek Philippe watch from a Qatari diplomat on Cannes' Croisette, with a trial date set for October 16, France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur reported.
The theft took place around 5.20am on Tuesday, August 11, according to Nice-Matin. The victim was robbed of the luxury watch before municipal and national police tracked down a suspect roughly 30 minutes later, the outlet said.
France 3 reported on August 20 that all three men now facing trial remain in pretrial detention ahead of the October hearing.
