A 21-year-old seasonal employee died at the Aquasplash water park in Antibes on Friday, June 27, according to France 3 Régions, citing Nice Matin.
Emergency services were called to the park at 10:45 in the morning after reports of a serious convulsive episode. The young worker was transported by ambulance to the Centre Hospitalier Fontonne in Antibes, where he later died.
Aquasplash closed for Saturday out of respect, before reopening on Sunday to large crowds. Management said in a statement that it was thinking of the worker's family.
