The Remp'Arts du Rire comedy festival returns to Saint-Paul-de-Vence for its second edition, opening Thursday, September 3 and running through Saturday, September 5, according to ICI Azur. The three night event brings stand-up comedy and theatre to the Place de la Courtine in the historic hilltop village.
Thursday and Friday nights are given over to stand-up comedy showcases. Doors open at 6.30pm each night, with the shows starting at 8.30pm. Thursday's lineup features Mado, Youness Hanifi, Cécile Marx and Eliott Doyle, while Friday brings Urbain Courty, Basile, Gabrielle Giraud and Adel Fugazi to the stage, according to the festival's official programme.
The festival closes on Saturday with a theatrical performance of Notre Humble Avis by the Les Collectionneurs company, in which local villagers host their own radio show sharing thoughts on books, films and art. Doors open at 6.30pm, with the performance beginning at 8.30pm.
Tickets are available for individual nights from €25, with two night passes from €50 and three night passes from €70, through the festival's website.
