Some 21,748 candidates in the Alpes-Maritimes and Var received their baccalauréat results on Tuesday July 7, after corrections teams worked through 108,962 examination papers in the Nice and Toulon academies.
Results for the general, technological and professional baccalauréat series were published online on Tuesday morning, ending the wait for students who sat their examinations earlier this month. France 3 Régions made results searchable by name for students in the Nice academy.
The baccalauréat results mark the formal close of the French school year and the beginning of the summer for the region's young people, many of whom will have été orientés toward university courses, apprenticeships or professional training programmes beginning in September.
