Prosecutors called for one to two years in prison for two OGC Nice ultras on Wednesday, over an assault on players Jérémie Boga and Terem Moffi outside the club's training ground last November, according to ICI Azur.
The two defendants, Anthony D., 32, and Mohamed C., 42, both well known figures within the Populaire Sud supporters' group, appeared before Nice's criminal court accused of aggravated violence and participating in a group organised to commit violence or damage. Neither struck any blows themselves that night, according to their own account, saying they had boarded the team bus to calm the situation rather than incite it.
The incident took place on the night of November 30, 2025, after Nice's sixth consecutive defeat, a 3-1 loss at Lorient. More than 200 supporters gathered outside the training ground to confront the returning squad, lighting flares and chanting as players and staff were forced to walk through the crowd. Moffi and Boga, along with sporting director Florian Maurice, were among those targeted with insults, spitting and blows, with goalkeeper Yéhvann Diouf intervening to help Moffi escape the crowd. Both players filed complaints the following day and left the club within weeks of the incident.
Nice's criminal court has reserved its judgment until September 11. Both defendants remain presumed innocent until then.
