OGC Nice unveils new kits carrying a hidden tribute to the 86

The club's 2026-27 home and away shirts quietly work the names of the 2016 attack's victims into a heart shape, ahead of a third kit dedicated entirely to the tribute this September.

OGC Nice unveiled its home and away kits for the 2026-27 season on Friday, both carrying a discreet tribute to the 86 people killed in the July 14, 2016 attack, marking ten years since the tragedy.

The home shirt keeps the club's traditional red and vertical black stripes, now paired with a reworked V-neck the club says gives it a more contemporary silhouette while preserving what it called the elegance of the Gym's finest kits. The away shirt takes a lighter, more streetwear-inspired approach, dominated by white and black with Kappa's signature band running down the sleeves and a polo collar designed for wear on and off the pitch. Both shirts carry a discreet heart shape formed from the names of the attack's 86 victims.

A third kit, dedicated entirely to the tribute, will be unveiled in the coming weeks and worn during a commemorative match against Le Mans at the Allianz Riviera in September. The launch campaign, filmed in the streets of Vieux-Nice, leaned on the club's connection to its supporters and the city, with Kappa describing the film as a tribute to "all those who exist beyond the spotlight." The new kits are available now at the club's official store on Place Masséna and online.
