Nice's Lignes d'Azur network faced further disruption last week, with unions calling strike action on both Friday, August 14 and Monday, August 17, the latest flare-ups in a pay dispute that has now run for over a month.
Lines 1, 2, 3, B, 5, 6, 7, 8+, 11, 12+, 14 through 21, 30, 32, 33, 35, 38, 57, 64, 70, 81, 98 and 99 all operated on reduced, Sunday-style schedules across both strike days, though line 15's first departure from Lycée Masséna was preserved at 6.30am to protect early morning travellers. Unions continue to cite a lack of dialogue over pay and working conditions as the source of the ongoing action, the same grievances behind the network's first strikes in mid-July.
