Three unions representing EasyJet France's cabin crew have launched a strike affecting flights to and from Nice, with the mobilisation running from Friday through September 2.
The unions, SNPNC-FO, UNAC-CFE-CGC and UNPNC-CFDT, filed the strike notice citing what they called a continuous deterioration in working conditions, pointing to chronically unstable schedules, last minute changes, back to back multi-day rotations, and an absence of protective measures. The notice is deliberately left open to cover the full period, with specific strike days to be announced 48 hours in advance as required under French law, though the unions have flagged this Friday through Sunday as likely to see the heaviest disruption.
The three unions said they had been warning EasyJet's management of the issue for close to a year, and remain open to negotiation, with the strike notice able to be lifted if the airline puts forward what they consider a clear and credible response.
