The regional ZOU! transport network is cutting two Noc'TAMbus night bus lines, the 621 connecting Cannes to Nice and the 661 connecting Cannes to Grasse, from September, citing insufficient ridership.
The Région Sud, which operates the ZOU! network, said the routes had failed to attract enough passengers to justify continued service. The cuts extend to most of the network's on-demand transport offering as well, a decision that has drawn criticism from regular users who say the routes filled a genuine gap for late-night travel between the three towns, particularly for workers without access to a car after hours.
