The Bal des Fous, Cannes' costumed open air party series, returns to the Terrasse Riviera at the Palais des Festivals this Sunday, opening its summer run with a Pin-Up and Playboy theme before working through eight fancy dress evenings into late August.
Running from 4pm to half past midnight each date, the series continues on July 19 with a Superhero theme and July 26 with a Wild West evening, before an August run that includes Copacabana, an all pink evening, and a seafood themed Shellfish and Crustaceans ball. Entry is free with priority given to the best dressed, though a Fast Pass is available for 30 euros for those wanting to skip the queue. The event is restricted to over 18s, with photo identification required at the door alongside a ticket.
Now in its established run on the Croisette, the series has built a following among locals and visitors keen on daytime costume parties set against the Palais backdrop, with a house music soundtrack running through the afternoon and evening.
