Communes across the Alpes-Maritimes have confirmed their Bastille Day programmes for Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14, giving residents a full weekend of displays to plan around.
Beaulieu-sur-Mer lights up the Plage de la Petite Afrique at 22h. Antibes and Juan-les-Pins stage their Festival Pyromélodique at the same hour, between la Siesta and Fort Carré. Saint-Laurent-du-Var runs concerts from 20h before its fireworks display at the Esplanade les Goélands. Roquebrune-Cap-Martin's Promenade en Fête begins at 21h, and Valbonne holds a ball at Place des Arcades without fireworks this year.
In Cannes, the 14 July display forms part of the city's Festival d'Art Pyrotechnique, a six-evening series running from July 4 to August 24 that draws crowds along the Croisette each summer. Tuesday's show is handled by Polish firm Nakaja Art, fired from the Baie de Cannes near the Palais des Festivals.
Golfe-Juan and Vallauris light up the Plage Picasso at 22h15, with free shuttles running from Vallauris for those without a car. Mandelieu-la-Napoule's show at the Plage du Château starts at 22h, followed by a DJ set for anyone staying on.
With the heatwave holding off the coast this week, conditions look set fair for all of it.
