Le Planning Familial des Alpes-Maritimes has launched a donation campaign called "Pas de plan B" after mounting delays in state subsidy payments left the association, which supported close to 7,000 people across Nice, Cannes and surrounding communes in 2025, struggling to maintain its usual level of activity, according to France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
The association's director said state subsidy payments have increasingly lagged behind schedule in recent years. "We're seeing delays of three to four months, which leaves us with very little visibility over our finances. It puts us in a difficult position overnight, especially since we have no way of influencing the situation," he said, noting that the funding process itself involves an increasingly demanding cycle of project proposals, reports and reviews. "We don't get these subsidies just because people are being nice," he added.
The campaign asks supporters to help maintain the association's listening services, youth outreach, prevention programmes and work opposing violence and discrimination, activities the association says risk being scaled back if its cash flow position doesn't stabilise.
